The Master Rug Technician will carefully inspect your rug, to determine the fabric content, age, color, spots or stains, and for any optional repairs before they begin cleaning. After that we will propose the best treatment that suits your rug and give to a prdiction of what we belive you can expect after treatment. Unlike wall-to-wall carpets, specialty rugs cannot be cleaned on location. For the attension they need, youe oriental rugs will be picked up and delivered to our location where we have the equipment and resourses to properly apply an intensive cleaning and controlled drying process. Dust Removal
Your rug is gently taped to remove dry soil, dust, sand, and/or grit. It is then throughly vacuumed to remove deep ground in debris within the rug fibers.

Washing/Rinsing
Depending on fiber content and soiling type, the rug will be pre-treated to emulsify the soils. Most rugs are cleaned with an Oriental Rug Shampoo that is specially designed to get maximum Your rug is then washed via multiple passes of our shampoo machine. Then rinsed to reduce problems like dye run and shrinkage. The fringes are carefully hand cleaned.

Drying
The rug is hung dry or dried flat to avoid unnatural shrinkage.

Final Inspection
After the rug is thoroughly dry, our Master Rug Technician will inspect the rug again. Then the rug will be rolled and bound for delivery back to your home.
